William B. Witte
With over 25 years of experience in the financial and capital markets, Mr. Witte oversees Salem Partners Wealth Management. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Witte was the Chief Investment Officer for Caruso Affiliated, managing the investment matters of this private company and three generations of family members. For approximately 15 years at Caruso, Mr. Witte was in charge of all capital decisions for the company, including strategic and tactical asset allocation, budgeting, forecasting, tax planning, and manager due diligence. He was also an integral factor in the development of Caruso’s multi-billion dollar real estate portfolio. Before joining Caruso, Mr. Witte worked in investment banking, corporate banking, private banking, and investment management for UBS, Bankers Trust Company, and Shearson Lehman Brothers. Mr. Witte has been a long-standing member of the Board of Trustees and has chaired many committees for the House Research Institute (hearing science). Mr. Witte also serves on the Board of Directors for Front Porch Communities and Services (senior housing), and he has been a guest speaker and panelist at numerous conferences, including ones sponsored by Cal State Northridge and UCLA. Mr. Witte graduated with top honors (“With Distinction”) from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering.

David Dodson, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
In addition to his duties as Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Dodson created and is responsible for SPWM's proprietary research process. Mr. Dodson also leads the investment committees of Salem Partners Wealth Management and SW Contego Fund, LLC, a fund of hedge funds established by Salem Partners Wealth Management in 2008. Mr. Dodson joined Salem after serving as Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Essential Advisers, Inc., a wealth management firm in Denver serving ultra affluent investors. While at Essential, Mr. Dodson was responsible for the design, implementation and management of Essential's client portfolios, deploying a wealth of investment and analytical skills for the benefit of clients. Additionally, Mr. Dodson designed and managed Essential's disciplined Large Cap Growth stock portfolio and played an integral role in serving clients. Before joining Essential Advisers, David was Director of Investment Planning for a billion dollar investment management firm in Overland Park, Kansas. Mr. Dodson holds a Masters of Science in Finance degree from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, a Certified Financial Planner® Certificant and a member of the Denver Society of Securities Analysts.

Chief Operating Officer & Chief Compliance Officer
Mrs. Kamangar joined Salem Partners Wealth Management in 2006 and is Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Operations. Mrs. Kamangar spent the previous five years with Bear Stearns as a Relationship Manager, a liaison role between introducing firms and various specialized departments. Prior to Bear Stearns, Mrs. Kamangar was a Vice President at Thomas Weisel Partners in San Francisco where she created the Asset Management Consulting Group operations and procedures. Previous to Thomas Weisel Partners, Mrs. Kamangar was at Montgomery Securities, where she headed the Trading and Operations department for the Investment Management Consulting Division. Mrs. Kamangar is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with honors and received a professional designation in Personal Financial Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mrs. Kamangar currently holds the following NASD licenses; Series 6,7,63,65,9,10,24.

Mr. Hyde brings a diverse investment background to Salem Partners Wealth Management, having been active as a manager, investor and business operator over the past 16 years. Prior to joining Salem Partners, Mr. Hyde most recently founded and operated Cherry Road Films, LLC, an independent film finance, production and development company in Los Angeles. Prior to Cherry Road, Mr. Hyde worked for Gerber Taylor Management, an alternative investment fund of funds where he was in charge of private equity and private real estate manager research. Before Gerber Taylor, Mr. Hyde worked at Schaedle Worthington Hyde, a multi-family apartment and limited service hotel developer, manager and owner. Mr. Hyde is also an initial investor and member in Abbays’, a multi-unit start-up restaurant brand in the Southeast. Mr. Hyde started his career in finance at Goldman Sachs in New York. Mr. Hyde serves on the Board of Directors for the J. R. Hyde III Family Foundation and on the Advisory Board of the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum. Mr. Hyde earned his Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Duke University.

Director, Development and Client Relations
Mr. Santos joined Salem Partners in 2011 and is primarily responsible for business development and client service for Salem Partners Wealth Management and SW Contego Fund, LLC, a fund of hedge funds established by Salem Partners Wealth Management in 2008. With over ten years of investment experience, Mr. Santos is also a member of the investment committees of Salem Partners Wealth Management and SW Contego Fund. Prior to joining Salem Partners, Mr. Santos worked as an institutional fixed income salesman for JP Morgan Securities, where he serviced public bodies, money management firms and registered investment advisors. Prior to working in institutional fixed income, Mr. Santos held the position of Senior Analyst for a wealth management team at JP Morgan Securities. Mr. Santos currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Leadership Academy and the Los Angeles Child Development Center. Mr. Santos is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles. He currently holds the NASD Series 7 and 66 licenses.

Mr. Keyfes joined Salem Partners Wealth Management in January 2010. He holds a B.A. degree in Economics from University of California, Santa Cruz. As an undergraduate he interned at an alternative investments hedge fund where he was responsible for analytical support of asset allocation, marketing efforts, and carbon credit market related ventures. He furthered his studies with an M.A. in Statistics and an M.A. in Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara during the span of which he was a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Upon Mr. Keyfes’ graduation and prior to joining SPWM he was a Consulting Analyst at a private high net worth family wealth management office in Santa Barbara where he supported hedge fund selection via analytical and quantitative due diligence.

Ms. Olsson joined Salem Partners in the summer of 2008. Prior to joining Salem, she worked for CIBC World Markets in their Los Angeles Equity Research Division. Ms. Olsson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University with a B.A. in International Affairs, received a language certificate from Beijing Foreign Studies University and was a Hansard Scholar at London School of Economics. Ms. Olsson also earned an M.A. in Pacific International Affairs from The University of California, San Diego.
